A Quiet Place Part II has its release date moved yet again

March 5, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

A Quiet Place Part II was on the cusp of release just as the full weight of the global pandemic hit last year, and rather than seek out a new home on streaming platforms, Paramount Pictures have simply kept on delaying John Krasinski’s eagerly anticipated sequel, and now they’ve moved it again.

According to Deadline, the film will now make its long overdue debut on May 28, 2021, almost 14 months after it was originally set for release.

This is the fifth time A Quiet Place Part II has been subject to a release change, but at least this news is more positive, as this latest move brings it forward from its proposed September 17th 2020 opening date.

Are you pleased Paramount have insisted on waiting this one out so that it can be seen on the big-screen, or has your anticipation faded like those Quiet Place movie posters eerily dotted around town? Let us know by hitting up our social channels @FlickeringMyth…

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

A Quiet Place Part II features returning cast members Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and John Krasinski alongside Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Djimon Hounsou (Captain Marvel).
