Action adventure Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity release date announced

June 30, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Publisher XSEED Games have announced that indie action adventure game Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity will be released for PC via Steam on the 11th July.  The game’s Steam release will see a number of enhancements over the PS4 edition and will be available at a 10% discount for the first week after launch.  The announcement trailer can be seen below…

Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity is a doujin adventure set in the ever evolving Touhou Project universe.  Players will follow the journey of  Remilia Scarlet, nicknamed Scarlet Devil, who is 500 years old and searching for something to end the monotony of immortality.  When she reads about a powerful and mysterious monster she sets out to find it but it finds her home first and leaves it in ruins, Remilia must seek revenge on the monster for taking what was hers.

A variety of levels await players as they fight their way through hordes of enemies and intense boss encounters plus the steam version introduces a new ‘bullet hell’ mode; all of this can be enjoyed in resolutions up to 4K.

Originally debuting in North America on PS4, Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity comes to Steam where even more players can experience this doujin adventure set in the ever-evolving Touhou Project universe.

Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity will be available on Steam for the PC on the 11th July.
