Alien: Romulus featurette introduces us to Cailee Spaeny’s Rain

August 8, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

If you’re chest-bursting with excitement about the impending arrival of Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus, then 20th Century Studios’ has dropped a brand new featurette introducing us to Cailee Spaeny’s character, Rain.

Hoping to avoid joining the long-list of xenomorph victims alongside Spaeny will be David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe 2) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. Check out the featurette below…

“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonisers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Alien: Romulus arrives in cinemas on August 16th.
