Deadline is reporting that Amazon Studios is teaming with Skybound Entertainment for a TV adaptation of the sci-fi comic book series Port of Earth from Top Cow Productions and Image Comics.
Created by Zack Kaplan with art from Andrea Mutti (Batman Eternal), Port of Earth is a gritty sci-fi series which “tells the story of an alien alliance called The Consortium that has come to Earth with a business proposition: open Earth as a spaceport for our customers to use and receive advanced technology upgrades in exchange. When rogue aliens break the Port restrictions and wreak havoc in different cities, however, the terms of the deal begin to change. Soon it is up to the Earth Security Agents to send them back to the Port of Earth.”
The TV series will be executive produced by Kaplan alongside Marc Silvestri and Matt Hawkins of Top Cow.
