Archer season 9 revealed to be Danger Island

July 22, 2017 by Ricky Church

Over the last few years FXX’s animated spy comedy Archer has taken on specific themes with its seasons, beginning with Archer Vice and the most recent season as Archer Dreamland, inspired by the film noir genre.

At the Archer panel at the San Diego Comic Con, executive producer Matt Thompson and co-executive producer Casey Willis, along with the cast of H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Judy Greer, Amber Nash and Lucky Yates, revealed Archer‘s ninth season to be Archer Danger Island.

They didn’t given any specific plot details away, but judging from the picture shown it seems Archer will be taking a turn to piracy for the season. Archer Danger Island will be the penultimate season of the series after creator Adam Reed revealed he will end Archer at season ten. In the meantime, you can watch SDCC’s Kingsman/Archer crossover short here.

Archer Danger Island will air on FXX some time in 2018.
