Arrow star Stephen Amell would like to play The Riddler on the big screen

Having been disappointed when Warner Bros. chose not to link its various DC television series with its cinematic Extended Universe, Arrow star Stephen Amell has revealed that he’d like to play The Riddler on the big screen.

“I always get this question,” said Amell when asked by CinemaPop (via Comic Book) which superhero he’d like to play in a movie. “I think all the superheroes are taken now. I’ll play The Riddler, okay? It’s a villain, but I like The Riddler.”

This isn’t the first time that Amell has expressed an interest in portraying Edward Nygma, having stated back in 2014 that he’d broached the idea with DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns.

Of course, given his prominent role in the Arrowverse, it would certainly be a surprise if Amell was to find himself going head-to-head with Ben Affleck’s Batman as part of the DCEU. Would you like to see him as The Riddler? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
