Deadline is reporting that filming is now underway on Jungleland, the new film from writer-director Max Winkler (Flower), which will star Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Jack O’Connell (Unbroken) and Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World).
The film sees O’Connell playing a reluctant bareknuckle boxer who along with his brother (Hunnam) must travel across the country for one last fight. However, an unexpected travel companion (Barden) exposes cracks in their relationship.
Jungleland has been scripted by Winkler, Theodore B. Bressman and David Branson Smith and is being produced by Romulus Entertainment, Big Red Films and Scott Free Productions. It will shoot in Fall River and New Bedford, MA, Buffalo, NY, Gary, IN, Reno, NV and San Francisco, CA.
