Netflix has made a new addition to the cast of The Lincoln Lawyer for the fourth season of its legal drama. Per Variety, joining Manuel Garcia-Ruflo in the upcoming season will be How I Met Your Mother and Avengers star Cobie Smulders.
Based on the seventh book in Michael Connelly’s novel series, the fourth season of Lincoln Lawyer follow Mickey Haller’s attempts to clear his name after his client’s dead body was found in the trunk of his faithful Lincoln.
Details on Smulder’s character is being kept under wraps, but it could be one that will feed over into a potential fifth season.
The Lincoln Lawyer stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton, Angus Sampson, Marcus Henderson, Gigi Zumbado, Kacey Montoya, Constance Zimmer, Elliot Gould, Krista Warner, Kyle Richards, Jason Butler Harner, Scott Lawrence with Neve Campbell upped to a series regular and newcomers Emmanuelle Chriqui (Superman & Lois), Jason O’Mara (Fire Country), Javon Johnson (The Oval), Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) and celebrity chef Nancy Silverton.
Production on The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 is currently underway.
