Darkness Rises celebrates 25 million downloads with Samurai Shodown VI collaboration

April 27, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Nexon’s intense action RPG Darkness Rises has been downloaded from Google Play and the App Store over 25 million times worldwide, so to celebrate the developers will be treating players to a limited time special collaboration with the famed SNK franchise, Samurai Shodown VI.  The special event will run until 9th May and give players the opportunity to earn lots of themed rewards, including costumes and pets.

Players who enter the dungeons of Darkness Rises during the event will be able to collect Samurai Shodown VI themed costumes inspired by those worn by Haohmaru, Kibagami Genjuro and more.  There will also be five new pets for players to add to their collections, these new pets are mini versions of 5 different characters from the Samurai Shodown series.

This collaboration will also bring a ’25 Million Downloads Celebratory Event’ that will allow players who log in during the 7 day Attendance Event to gain many more rewards, including A+ ranked gear chests, gold and much more.

For those who’ve not heard of Darkness Rises, this RPG sees players choose from a cast of diverse heroes and descend into an abyss on a quest to stop an evil force that’s spreading darkness across the world.  Players will fight powerful enemies and bosses using their unique skills to vanquish the evil.

Be sure to sign into Darkness Rises now and take part in the Samurai Shodown VI collaboration.
