August 9, 2024 by Gary Collinson

With the upcoming 50th issue of Star Wars: Darth Vader set to bring the curtain down on the series, the publisher has announced that the super-sized finale will feature a back up story from writer Greg Pak and artist Luke Ross which explores the possibility of Princess Leia turning to the dark side and joining Darth Vader to rule the galaxy as father and daughter.

Hitting stores in September, Star Wars: Darth Vader alongside the main title’s Star Wars #50, the issues will serve as the finale to the current era of Marvel’s Star Wars storytelling taking taking place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The publisher will then shift into the post Original Trilogy timeline in October as it explores the aftermath of the Battle of Endor in Star Wars: Ewoks and delves into the final confrontation of the Galactic Civil War with Star Wars: Battle of Jakku.

To mark the Princess Leia back-up story in Star Wars: Darth Vader #50, the issue will also be available with the following variant cover from artist Derrick Chew…
