Dascha Polanco and Lil Rel Howery to star with Natasha Lyonne in Rian Johnson’s Poker Face

June 5, 2022 by Ricky Church

Peacock’s mystery series Poker Face from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Knives Out director Rian Johnson has added Dascha Polanco (In The Heights) and Lil Rel Howery  (Free Guy) to its cast, which is being led by Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll).

Poker Face is described as “as a fun, character driven, case-of-the-week mystery” with Lyonne investigating different cases across the 10 episode season.  The series will also feature Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises), Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Benjamin Bratt (DMZ) and David Castañeda (The Umbrella Academy).

Johnson is writing and directing the series while Lilla and Nora Zuckerman (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) are serving as the series’ showrunners and executive producers. Poker Face will also be executive produced by Johnson and his T-Street partner Ram Bergman and the company’s television president Nena Rodrigue as well as Lyonne via her Animal pictures and the company’s Maya Rudolph and Danielle Renfrew Behrens.

Johnson is currently in post-production for Knives Out 2, which will be released on Netflix.
