Deaths runs in the family in first Final Destination: Bloodlines trailer

February 3, 2025 by Ricky Church

Death is back at it as the first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines has been released. The teaser is an extended scene from the upcoming horror film as it sees an unlucky tattoo artist fall victim to Death’s intricate and deadly design.

Final Destination: Bloodlines is directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky from a script by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor with MCU Spider-Man director Jon Watts crafting the story with the duo. This marks the sixth installment in the Final Destination franchise and the first in 14 years. The franchise follows a group of survivors after a terrible and often bloody near-death experience, but Death isn’t happy they escaped and plots ways to kill the survivors in increasingly intricate and gruesome ways to balance the scales.

The new film follows a family as they try to save themselves from Death’s clutches. Final Destination: Bloodlines will also feature the final on screen role of the late Tony Todd, who has starred in all but the fourth Final Destination films as William Bludworth, a coroner and funeral home manager who has a great deal of knowledge on Death and how to cheat it. It has been reported Bloodlines will delve into Bludworth’s backstory and why he is so knowledgeable on Death.

Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.

Final Destination: Bloodlines features Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd.

Final Destination: Bloodlines will be released on May 16th, 2025.
