Feast your eyes on the gorgeous new trailer for The Wild Robot

June 11, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Universal and DreamWorks Animation has unveiled the latest trailer for The Wild Robot, the stunning looking adaptation of Peter Brown’s beloved New York Times bestseller.

Written and directed by three-time Academy Award nominee Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon), The Wild Robot features the voice talent of Lupita Nyong’o (Us) as robot Roz; Pedro Pascal (Fantastic Four) as fox Fink; Catherine O’Hara (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) as opossum Pinktail; Bill Nighy (Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor (Rocketman) as gosling Brightbill and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Vontra, a robot that will intersect with Roz’s life on the island.

The film also stars the iconic voices of Mark Hamill (The Boy and the Heron), Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows) and Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible). Check out the trailer below…

The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.

The Wild Robot crash lands in cinemas 18th October.
