Finn Jones responds to Iron Fist cancellation, character will return in Netflix’s other Marvel shows

October 14, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday it was announced that the axe has fallen on Iron Fist, with the show becoming the first of Netflix’s Marvel series to be cancelled by the streaming service following the recent release of its second season.

In the wake of the news, actor Finn Jones – who portrays Danny Rand – took to Instagram to share his gratitude for getting the chance to play the comic book character, stating that: “With every end is a new beginning. I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everyone involved with the last two seasons of this show. Defending the greatest city in the world amongst the most talented and warmest people has been a privilege and a joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and grateful for the ongoing support.”

However, we may not have seen the last of Jones’ Iron Fist, as Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the character will continue to appear in Netflix’s Marvel universe – presumably popping up in the other Defenders-related shows in a similar capacity to Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple. One would assume that will also apply to Jones’ co-stars, such as Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).
