First trailer for Saltburn teases debauchery and a scheming Barry Keoghan

August 30, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Filmmaker Emerald Fennell is following up her Academy Award-winning film Promising Young Woman with another challenging dark comedic drama.

If the first trailer for Saltburn is anything like the full film, viewers are in for a debaucherous and devious film filled with some of the hottest actors working today. Leading the pack is Barry Keoghan as Oliver Quick, with Keoghan also coming off a strong awards campaign for his work in The Banshees of Inisherin.

Saltburn “tells a wicked tale about privilege and desire, following a student named Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), who is an outsider at Oxford, until he’s drawn to a handsome member of the wealthy elite, Felix Catton (Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi). Felix invites him to his family’s sprawling estate, where Oliver meets a twisted bunch of characters who say and do things that will make you squirm.”

Check out the poster and trailer below…

Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) develops an infatuation with the charismatic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to meet his aristocratic but eccentric family over the summer.

Saltburn will open the 67th BFI London Film Festival on October 4, 2023. The film will then see a limited theatrical release on November 24, 2023, before expanding wide on December 1, 2023, by Amazon Studios and MGM.
