Guy Ritchie wraps new film starring Henry Cavill, Eiza González and Jake Gyllenhaal

October 27, 2023 by Ricky Church

Guy Ritchie has wrapped production on his next and currently untitled action film which will feature a reunion between Ritchie and Jake Gyllenhaal, who starred in Ritchie’s The Covenant, and Henry Cavill and Eiza González, both of whom will be seen next year in Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

According to Deadline, the untitled film wrapped production in Spain this week and Lionsgate quickly bought it for US distribution followed by Black Bear for UK and Ireland distribution. Black Bear also dealt with numerous international production companies for worldwide distribution.

The plot is unknown, but the film is said to have “an element of The Expendables” to it so expect lots of action to come from this project. Ritchie is producing with his usual collaborator Ivan Atkinson along with Black Bear’s John Friedberg.

Ritchie has been quite busy in the last year or two as 2023 saw the release of both The Covenant and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Next year will see the release of Ritchie’s World War II thriller The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which is currently in post-production, and this untitled film. He is also producing The Gentleman TV series and directed two episodes of the upcoming season.
