Harrison Ford dons the fedora once more in Indiana Jones 5 set photos

June 8, 2021 by Gary Collinson

As Raiders of the Lost Ark celebrates its 40th anniversary, Harrison Ford is back in the fedora this week as filming begins on Disney and Lucasfilm’s Indiana Jones 5, and now photos are emerging on social media of Ford back in full costume as the intrepid archaeologist and adventurer alongside Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy. Take a look here…

The first look at Ford follows on from earlier spy photos from the North Yorkshire set, which featured numerous vintage cars, along with a steam train bearing the Nazi swastika.

This matches up with the recent rumour that the Nazis will be making their return in Indiana Jones 5, and its been speculated that the scenes in question could be from a World War II flashback sequence, given that it is believed the movie will actually take place in the 1960s. However, at this point, specific plot details are securely locked away in the Lucasfilm warehouse next to the Ark of the Covenant.

Indiana Jones 5 is being directed by James Mangold (Logan) and sees Harrison Ford returning in the title role alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Shaunette Renee Wilson (Black Panther).

Indiana Jones 5 is set for release on July 29th 2022.
