Interstellar blasts past $600 million at the global box office

It may have missed out on top spot at the North American box office, but Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic Interstellar has now blasted past the $600 million mark worldwide, having banked $621.8 million to date. Of that figure, $166.8 million comes from its domestic run, along with an impressive $455 million from international markets.

Interstellar is Nolan’s fourth-highest grossing film after The Dark Knight Rises ($1.084 billion), The Dark Knight ($1.003 billion) and Inception ($825.5 million).

Featuring in the cast of Interstellar are Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club), Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises), Jessica Chastain (The Help), Michael Caine (Inception), Mackenzie Foy (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn), Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games), Casey Affleck (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3), John Lithgow (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Bill Irwin (Lady in the Water), David Gyasi (Cloud Atlas), Ellen Burstyn (Requiem for a Dream), David Oyelowo (The Butler) and Matt Damon (Elysium).
