James Wan shares new Malignant set photo as filming nears its end

November 28, 2019 by Ricky Church

After the huge success of James Wan’s superhero adventure Aquaman, the Conjuring creator is returning to his horror roots with the giallo film Malignant. The film is scheduled for an August 2020 release and Wan has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo through his Instagram revealing the film is nearly done filming.

For anyone who may be unaware, Giallo films are Italian thriller-horror movies that centre around a murder mystery containing elements of slasher, crime fiction, psychological horror, and supernatural horror.
