You might have been wondering what had happened to Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham’s reunion movie Wrath of Man. Filmed during the pandemic, screened for critics back in May (you can read our ★★ review here), and released in the U.S. as something of a summer litmus test for the struggling moviegoing industry, the film had one of those non-specific 2022 release dates here in the UK, but now that’s changed.
Directed by Guy Ritchie and based on the French film Le Convoyeur, Wrath of Man will now be heading to Amazon Prime just in time for Christmas having been given a December 2021 release date on the streaming service.
With a 66% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a respectable global box-office cume of $103M, accrued at a time when the majority of cinemas around the world were closed, it seems like quite the coup for Amazon.
