Jennifer Lawrence speaks briefly about X-Men: Apocalypse

November 20, 2014 by Gary Collinson

With Jennifer Lawrence doing the promotional rounds for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, it’s inevitable that the actress will be fielding questions about her upcoming role in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, and during a chat with IGN the actress has briefly spoken about where we’ll find her character Mystique in the mutant superhero sequel:

“She’s very complex. She’s a hero to her own race in a way which makes her a villain to the opposite race. I don’t really know where she’s gonna go. I’ve had a few conversations about where we’ll find her. She obviously needs to be in hiding somewhere.”

X-Men: Apocalypse is being directed by Bryan Singer, with Lawrence set to be joined by X-Men: Days of Future Past stars James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine). Meanwhile Chloe Moretz (The Equalizer), Elle Fanning (Maleficent) and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) have been linked to the role of Jean Grey, with Ben Hardy (EastEnders), Charlie Rowe (Neverland) and Timothee Chalamet (Interstellar) said to be under consideration for Cyclops.
