Jennifer Lawrence to star in Apple and A24 murder mystery The Wives

June 21, 2024 by Ricky Church

Jennifer Lawrence will headline The Wives, an upcoming murder mystery from Apple Original Films and A24 that Lawrence will produce as well as star in.

The Wives is to be partly inspired by the reality TV franchise Real Housewives, focusing on the drama and lifestyles of rich socialites in Orange County, Miami, Atlanta and New York. It sounds like Lawrence will be among a group of rich socialite women when a murder is committed among them.

The film will be written by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley. Currently there is no director attached to develop the film. Lawrence will produce through her company Excellent Cadaver with Justine Ciarrocchi and bb2‘s Jeremy O. Harris and Josh Godfrey.

This marks a reunion between Apple, A24 and Lawrence after their 2022 drama Causeway. Lawrence was last seen onscreen in the raunchy comedy No Hard Feelings and will be seen later in East of Eden, Sue and Die, My Love.
