Jordan Peele “seriously considering” a sequel to Get Out

February 10, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Actor and comedian-turned-filmmaker Jordan Peele certainly scored with his feature directorial debut Get Out, with the Blumhouse-produced horror proving to be a hit with audiences, critics, and even the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, who nominated it for four Oscars – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor (Daniel Kaluuya).

Peele has recently announced that he is calling time on his acting career to focus solely on directing, and during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he’s indicated that a Get Out sequel may well be on the cards.

“I will definitely, seriously consider it,” said Peele. “I love that universe and feel like there is more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends… you know the movie.”

Peele is currently hard at work developing a new as-yet-untitled thriller for Universal Pictures, but with Get Out grossing over $250 million from a $4.5 million budget, and potentially bringing some Oscar statuettes Blumhouse and Universal’s way, a sequel must surely be high on their agenda.

Are you interested in a Get Out sequel, or would you like to see Peele turning his hand to different stories? Let us know in the comments below…
