Kaley Cuoco set for Doris Day limited series

March 15, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Kaley Cuoco is set to follow up her Golden Globe-nominated turn in HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant by taking on the role of iconic actress, singer and animal welfare activist Doris Day in a limited series based upon the  A.E. Hotchner biography Doris Day: Her Own Story.

Cuoco is set to portray Day, who starred in the likes of Pillow Talk, Calamity Jane, The Man Who Knew Too Much and The Doris Day Show, as well as executive producing the series through her Yes, Norman production company.

Doris Day reunites Cuoco with Warner Bros. Television after the hugely successful sitcom The Big Bang Theory, DC animated series Harley Quinn and last year’s The Flight Attendant, which has been renewed for a second season. As yet, there’s no word on a potential network or streaming outlet for the limited series.
