Linda Cardellini to star in James Wan-produced horror The Children

October 10, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Variety is reporting that Linda Cardellini is set to star in The Children, a new horror film from New Line Cinema, which is being produced by James Wan (Insidious, The Conjuring).

The Children will see Cardellini as a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy. Michael Chaves (Chase Champion) is set to make his feature directorial debut on the project, which has been scripted by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.

Cardellini recently starred in Netflix’s acclaimed series Bloodline, and will next be seen in the Will Ferrell / Mark Wahlberg comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2. There has also been rumours/speculation that we’ll see her back as Hawkeye’s wife Laura Barton in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War.
