Logan Lerman and Jack Reynor on being linked to young Han Solo role

January 25, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this month it was revealed that Disney and Lucasfilm have narrowed their search for the young Han Solo in Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s upcoming Star Wars anthology movie to around twelve actors, with Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen and Blake Jenner all said to be in the running.

During the Sundance Festival, MTV caught up with two of those names – Logan Lerman and Jack Reynor – to ask about the rumours linking them to the iconic role of the smuggler.

“I don’t think I’d be intimidated,” said Lerman. “It would just be fun. ut, I mean, I really can’t speak about it. There’s nothing I can really say about it right now, at this point in time.”

“We’re talking about Harrison Ford,” adds Reynor. “He’s no chump. You can’t do an imitation. You can’t try and just emulate what that is. It’s got to be something new. It’s also got to be something that the audience is going to respond to. [It] would be kind of an incredible gig to get. Totally insane. I think [Lord and Miller] are the perfect guys to do that movie.”

Who would you like to see as the young Han Solo? Can anyone fill Harrison Ford’s shoes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
