Mark Hamill has his fingers crossed for Joker role in Batman: The Killing Joke

During the San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. announced that Alan Moore’s classic Batman tale The Killing Joke is set for an animated adaptation next year. Following the news, many fans expressed their hope that Warner Bros. would enlist Mark Hamill to portray the Clown Prince of Crime in what is widely-regarded as the definitive Joker tale, and the Star Wars: The Force Awakens star has taken to Twitter to admit that he’s got his fingers crossed that he gets the call…

Hamill has previously stated on a number of occasions that he’d love to return to the role of The Joker for Batman: The Killing Joke, with fans even setting up a Facebook page back in 2011 to petition for his casting.
