Marvel celebrates a milestone with Marvel Comics #1000 trailer

August 28, 2019 by Gary Collinson

After months of Mighty Marvel Merriment, the publisher’s 80th anniversary celebrations culminate today with the release of Marvel Comics #1000, an 80-page issue featuring 80 creative teams and one story that encompasses the entire history of the Marvel universe.

“I don’t think it’s a huge spoiler to say that the very first page in the book is a Human Torch story. But we go from there into some very strange places, some characters that Marvelites might have forgotten about,” states writer Al Ewing, with Marvel Editor in-Chief C.B. Cebulski adding: “All I can tell you is you cannot miss this book. It is the ultimate celebration of Marvel Comics.”
