Mila Kunis is the Luckiest Girl Alive in trailer for Netflix mystery thriller

September 7, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has released a poster and trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Jessica Knoll’s New York Times Bestselling novel Luckiest Girl Alive.

Directed by Mike Barker (The Handmaid’s Tale), the mystery thriller stars Mila Kunis as Ani, an aspiring editor for the New York Times whose dream life begins to unravel when she’s confronted by a dark secret from her past by the director of a true crime documentary. Check out the trailer below…

Luckiest Girl Alive centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.

Joining Mila Kunis in the cast of Luckiest Girl Alive are Finn Wittrock, Chiara Aureila, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Barbusca, Justine Lupe, Jennifer Beals, and Connie Britton.

Luckiest Girl Alive arrives on Netflix on October 7th.
