MiniDOOM, the fan made DOOM game that takes Hell into 2D

September 6, 2016 by Villordsutch

DOOM from id Software has been making a mess across people’s monitors and television screens now for over twenty years.  Just this year we witnessed the latest bloody chapter from Bethesda Softworks [you can read our review of that here] and now a fan made game has surfaced upon the web and it’s taken DOOM into the world of the 2D.

Titled MiniDOOM, this free to download homage to the classic DOOM – made by both Felipe Porcel & Juan Carlos Porcel – sees our nameless UAC Space Marine thrown into the world of the platformer.  With six weapons (including the BFG), spread across a number of demon-filled nightmare scenarios, it’s once again up to you to put this Hell spawn back into the proverbial naughty corner, in as many pieces as possible.

With a brutal soundtrack constantly pumping away in the background, which has been taken from The Dark Side of Phobos and Doom II: Delta-Q-Delta, along with the original classic DOOM sound effects attached to the game from Bobby Prince, MiniDoom already ticks all the right boxes and that’s before you’ve see the waves of monsters screaming for your inner-organs.

MiniDOOM is completely free and can be downloaded now from here and you should get it instantly!
