New trailer for Liam Neeson’s The Commuter

October 23, 2017 by Matt Rodgers

“You have until next stop to decide. What kind of person are you?”

That’s the thinly veiled threat made to Liam Neeson’s travelling salesman by Vera Farmiga’s butter-wouldn’t-melt blackmailer in the latest trailer for The Commuter. Jaume Collet-Serra’s action film is shaping up to be the best high-speed transport game of cat-and-mouse since Speed, and whilst the last director/star collaboration may have been more non-starter than Non-Stop, Serra is coming off the back of the terrific Blake Lively and seagull movie, The Shallows, so hopes are high for some high-octane fun.

“In this action-packed thriller, Liam Neeson plays an insurance salesman, Michael, on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes a deadly plan is unfolding and is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy. One that carries life and death stakes for himself and his fellow passengers.”

The Commuter is set for release on January 12th in the States and on January 19th in the UK.
