Olivia Wilde reportedly fired Shia LaBeouf from Don’t Worry Darling due to “zero asshole policy”

December 27, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Shia LaBeouf has been back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons again lately, with musician FKA Twigs filing a lawsuit against the actor over allegations of “relentless” abuse, sexual battery and assault she’s said to have suffered during a tumultuous relationship with the Transformers star.

Well, it seems this isn’t the only recent trouble for LaBeouf, as Variety has revealed that the actor’s recent exit from Olivia Wilde’s new film Don’t Worry Darling was not down to scheduling conflicts as originally reported, but rather than he was fired from the project by Wilde who is known to have a “zero asshole policy” on her sets.

According to Variety’s report, LaBeouf had been displaying poor behaviour and his style and approach clashed with other members of the film’s cast and crew, including Wilde. The director then made the decision to fire him from the project, with former One Direction star Harry Styles signing on as his replacement.

In addition to FKA Twigs, musician Sia and stylist Karolyn Pho have also recently made allegations against LaBeouf, who will next be seen alongside Vanessa Kirby in Pieces of a Woman. However, Netflix has removed his name from the film’s ‘For Your Consideration’ advertising, having originally intended to push him as a Best Supporting Actor contender during awards season.
