Paranormal Activity producer isn’t sure if the next film will use found footage

February 28, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Jason Blum, the producer of the Paranormal Activity franchise, isn’t sure if the seventh film will continue using found footage.

In 2019 it was announced that a new film in the Paranormal Activity franchise will be released, with a target of 2021. The horror franchise has been scaring fans for years with its found-footage approach to ghoulish goings-on but will this continue in the future?

Well, producer of the films Jason Blum isn’t so sure that the next movie will use found-footage, telling Bloody Disgusting that they are still figuring out what they want to do. When asked if it was time to move on from found-footage, Blum said:

“The answer is, I don’t know. I guess we’re about to find out, but I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s something that we’re talking about, but I don’t know what it’s going to wind up being….We’re writing the treatment. That’s it.”
