Pom Klementieff reportedly playing Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

October 30, 2015 by Gary Collinson

A couple of days ago it was revealed that Pom Klementieff (Oldboy) has become the first new addition to the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, in what was being described as a “key role”, although one that was being kept under wraps.

Well, according to Deadline, the up-and-coming actress is portraying the character of Mantis – the half-Vietnamese, half-German daughter of Gustav Brandt, a.k.a. Libra – who is a telepath and martial arts expert with ties in the Kree. In the comic books, Mantis has been both a member of the Guardians, the Avengers, and the West Coast Avengers.
