Popeye the Slayer Man gets a red band trailer and poster

November 24, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

You wait 95 years for a public domain Popeye horror movie, and then three (at least) come along at once…

Yes, following on from the “raunchy and gory” Popeye slasher movie and horror-comedy Shiver Me Timbers, we now have a red band trailer and poster Popeye the Slayer Man, the upcoming horror from director Robert Michael Ryan which sees a group of friends encounter the murderous sailor after sneaking into a spinach factory to investigate the local legend.

Featuring in the cast of Popeye the Slayer Man are Sean Michael Conway, Elena Juliano, Mabel Thomas, Marie-Louise Boisnier, Jeff Thomas, and Steven McCormack. Watch the trailer below…

A curious group of friends sneak into an abandoned spinach canning factory to film a documentary on the legend of the “Sailor Man,” who is said to haunt the factory and local docks.

Popeye the Slayer Man is coming in 2025.
