Rumour: Is this who will be playing Robin in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

July 23, 2015 by admin

It was rumoured during the production of the movie that The Boy Wonder would not be joining us for adventures in the DC Cinematic Universe due to being a bit dead. Those rumours were seemingly confirmed via the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with the shot of a Robin suit with Joker scrawl in the Batcave.

Heroic Hollywood are now reporting the rumour that we could see Robin in action, including his death scene with The Joker, via a flashback scene. Not only that, but the rumour-hound is claiming he will be played by Eli Snyder, the son of director Zack Snyder.

Eli has featured his father’s movies previously, having played a young Leonidas in 300 and young Rorschach in Watchman.

Heroic Hollywood note that this is far from being confirmed, so take this one with a pinch of salt for the time being.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on March 25th 2016 and sees Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) and Christina Wren (Carrie Farris) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
