Samara Weaving to go Down the Rabbit Hole as Playboy Bunny Holly Madison

Ready or Not and Bill & Ted Face the Music star Samara Weaving is set to portray Holly Madison, former Playboy Bunny and ex-girlfriend of the late Hugh Hefner, in an adaptation of Madison’s memoir Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.

As reported by THR, Sony has optioned the rights to the book, with Marieke Hardy (Laid) set to write the script and Will Gluck (Easy A) and Richard Schwartz (Woke) executive producing with Madison and Judith Verno (Masters of Sex).

The limited series will “look beyond the polished facade of the Playboy brand to depict the visceral, often deeply damaging stories of the women who entered following a dream and found themselves manipulated, controlled, and abused by the machine.”

Weaving will next be seen in Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers along with the upcoming Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins movie. Down the Rabbit Hole becomes her second new project this month, having recently signed on to portray Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte in the historical drama Liz.
