Samuel L. Jackson to headline Nick Fury series on Disney+

September 25, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Samuel L. Jackson will don the famous eye-patch oneagain, as Variety reports that he’s heading to Disney+ to reprise the role of Nick Fury in a new series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While details about the series are being kept under wraps, Variety notes that Jackson is set to star in the new series coming from Mr. Robot’s Kyle Bradstreet, who is currently attached to write and executive produce. Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige will also serve as producers on the project.

As many fans know, Samuel L. Jackson started his journey in the MCU all the way back in the very first Iron Man film in 2008, appearing as the head of government agency S.H.I.E.L.D in the first of many Marvel post-credits scenes. Jackson has appeared eleven movies from Marvel Studios, the latest being Spider-Man: Far From Home, where Fury was onboard a Skrull ship somewhere in deep space. He also reprised the role for a guest appearance in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC.

This still-untitled Nick Fury show will join WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel as live-action Marvel series on Disney+.
