See Nicolas Cage as Count Dracula in Renfield set photos

Nicolas Cage is set to sink his teeth into one of the most iconic characters in all of fiction as he follows in the footsteps of Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Jr. and John Carradine by bring life to Count Dracula for Universal Pictures.

Currently in production now in New Orleans, Renfield is being directed by Chris McKay (The Tomorrow War) and stars Nicholas Hoult (The Great) in the role of Dracula’s lackey R.M. Renfield. And, thanks to People, we now have our very first look at Cage in full costume as Bram Stoker’s monstrous creation.

Renfield is said to be a comedic take on the source material, similar in tone to Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s What We Do in the Shadows, and sees Cage and Hoult joined in the cast by Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog), Adrian Martinez (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), Bess Rous (Ghostbusters: Answer the Call) and James Moses Black (Queenpins).
