Separate Ways story DLC hits Resident Evil 4

September 21, 2023 by Andrew Newton

As of today, Resident Evil 4 fans can get their hands on the highly anticipated story DLC Separate Ways. This new DLC follows Ada Wong’s side of the story as her secret mission intertwines with Leon S. Kennedy’s search for the president’s daughter. Watch the DLC’s launch trailer below….

Separate Ways delivers a whole new adventure that has players follow Ada Wong as she infiltrates the Los Iluminados controlled village.  The mission, given to her by Albert Wesker, to take control of the organisation’s powerful substance known as ‘the Amber’ leads her to reunite with Leon Kennedy. Ada’s covert operation runs parallel with Leon’s rescue mission and answers many a lingering question asked by the main campaign.

This new DLC also introduces a new feature that makes for much more fast-paced action as Ada can use her grappling gun to dismantle enemy defences and launch into melee combat from a distance.  This new feature allows players to get past otherwise impossible obstacles.

As well as the arrival of the Separate Ways DLC, there has also been the launch of new content for The Mercenaries.  This is a free update for owners of the game and adds Ada Wong and her employer Albert Wesker to the roster of playable characters.

Separate Ways is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
