Earlier this year, Lucasfilm and Del Rey Books published Star Wars: Thrawn, Timothy Zahn’s return to the galaxy far, far away, which told the origin story of the fan-favourite Grand Admiral Thrawn. Next summer, Zahn is returning once again for a sequel, Star Wars: Thrawn – Alliances and Del Rey has now revealed the cover to the anticipated book. Check it out here…
Star Wars: Thrawn – Alliances will be released on June 26, 2018. The synopsis reads:
Grand Admiral Thrawn and Darth Vader ally against a threat to the Empire in this new novel from bestselling author Timothy Zahn.
The sequel to New York Times bestseller Thrawn, Thrawn: Alliances will continue to follow the rise of Grand Admiral Thrawn to the heights of Imperial power—and accompany him into the past, witnessing his first encounter with the man who will one day become Darth Vader.
Thrawn made his in-canon debut in Star Wars Rebels and continues to antagonize the crew of the Ghost in the series’ fourth and final season. Whether this book takes place before or after the show is unknown at this point.
