Sylvester Stallone’s Lock Up gets 4K restoration release in the UK

July 24, 2019 by Gary Collinson

StudioCanal has announced that it is bringing a brand new, uncut 4K restoration of Sylvester Stallone’s cult 1989 action thriller Lock Up to the UK this September.

Lock Up sees Stallone portraying Frank Leone, a convict nearing the end of his sentence in a low-security prison, who finds himself transferred to a brutal maximum security prison by the villainous Warden Drumgoole (Donald Sutherland), who is seeking revenge against Leone for a past prison escape which put a negative mark on his work record.

Lock Up is set for release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital from September 23rd, while a Zavvi exclusive 4K Steelbook will also be available.
