Taika Waititi confirms he will reprise Korg role in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder

October 17, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Director Taika Waititi has confirmed he will be reprising his role as Korg in the fourth instalment in the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder.

While promoting his latest film, Jojo Rabbit, on Jimmy Kimmel, Waititi dropped the news that he play the gladiator for the third time after his performances in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.

“My character is coming back, Korg,” he said during the conversation. As the audience erupted in cheers, the director slipped back into his Korg voice, adding: “Thank you. Thank you so much for that reaction.”

Thor: Love and Thunder is set for release on November 5th 2021, and will see Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster joined by returning Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame star Tessa Thompson.
