Teaser trailer for Richard Linklater’s Hit Man starring Glen Powell and Adria Arjona

January 22, 2024 by EJ Moreno

With its June release slowly inching closer and ahead of its Spotlight Premiere at the 40th Sundance Film Festival, Netflix gives us another look at Hit Man with the release of a new trailer.

The new movie from Richard Linklater sees Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You) leading in a somehow true story about a man who falls into the hit man world.

From Tudum.com, the director opens up about his lead star, saying, “[Glen] is a great collaborator. It’s kind of like a sports team: If the best guy on the team is also the hardest-working, you might win. That’s what Glen is. He wants everybody on the team to be great.”

The cast includes Glen Powell, Adria Arjona, Austin Amelio, Retta, Sanjay Rao, Molly Bernard, and Evan Holtzman. Powell teamed with Linklater to pen the script and produced with Mike Blizzard, Jason Bateman, and Michael Costigan. Check out the teaser below…

Inspired by an unbelievable true story, a strait-laced professor discovers his hidden talent as a fake hitman. He meets his match in a client who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed-up identities.
