The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula sets ‘Season 666’ for Shudder debut this October

September 5, 2024 by EJ Moreno

The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is back for its latest season, Season 666.

The sixth season will see contestants battle for a $100,000 grand prize, a headlining spot on a world tour, and the coveted Dragula crown. The Next Drag Super Monster will be a ten-episode season described as “bigger, bloodier, and more brutal.”

Per Variety, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula will premiere in a 90-minute episode on AMC+ and Shudder on October 1st. Following the premiere, all-new hour-long episodes will debut weekly on the streamers on Tuesdays.

The logline reads: “Dubbed ‘Season 666,’ the next chapter of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is the most ambitious and terrifying yet, with world-renowned actors and directors joining the judges’ panel, raising the stakes to hellish new heights. Every episode promises spine-chilling, extreme physical feats that will push the cast of drag superstars to confront their darkest fears.”

The guests include Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky), Mike Flanagan (Midnight Mass, Haunting of Hill House), Jamie Clayton (Hellraiser), Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk), Don Mancini (creator and writer of Chucky) and Justin Simien (The Haunted Mansion).

Other judges are David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil), Akela Cooper (Malignant, M3gan), Joe Bob Briggs & Darcy (hosts of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs), Violet Chachki (winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7) Alaska Thunderfck (winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 2), Tananarive Due (author of Horror Historian), Darren Stein (Jawbreaker), Mathieu Cote (creator of Dead By Daylight), Landon Cider (winner of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 3) and Niohuru X (winner of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 5).
