The CW extends the second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow with four more episodes

November 10, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The CW has extended the second season of its time-travelling superhero show DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, ordering an additional four episodes to take the season two total up to 17.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow launched as a midseason series last year, and while Arrow and The Flash received full 23-episode orders for their latest seasons, The CW had originally only ordered 13 for Legends season two. However, the show has been performing well in the ratings, pulling in an average of 2.34 million viewers this season, an increase of 35% in the time slot from last year, where The Vampire Diaries was airing.
