The Good Place’s William Jackson Harper joins Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

October 28, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

His breakout came in multi-dimensional comedy The Good Place, so William Jackson Harper should feel right at home in the Multiverse Saga with the news that he is a last minute addition to the cast of Phase Five launcher Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Harper earned an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Chidi Anagonye in NBC’s The Good Place, which ran for 53 episodes over a total of four seasons.

Deadline confirmed that he would be heading to The Quantum Realm alongside Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas and Kathryn Newton, but this being Marvel there were no specific details with regards to who Harper would be playing or how large his role is.

Since The Good Place Harper has appeared in the like of Ari Aster’s Midsommar, Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad, and can currently been seen in Peacock’s underrated comedy The Resort.

Once again directed by Peyton Reed, Quantumania will pit our miniature heroes against the Multiverse Saga’s new big bad, Kang the Conquerer (Jonathan Majors). Check out the trailer here.

In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Michelle Pfeiffer (Janet Van Dyne), Randall Park (Jimmy Woo), Corey Stoll (Darren Cross/Yellowjacket), Kathryn Newton (Cassie Lang), Jonathan Majors (Kang the Conqueror) and Bill Murray (Krylar).

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set for release on February 17th 2023.
