The Haunting of Hill House creator promises more hidden ghosts in The Haunting of Bly Manor

February 27, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting of Hill House, has teased that there will be more hidden ghosts in season two, The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House has been one of the best received original series from the platform in recent years, enjoyed by both critics and audiences. The show won’t end with one season, however, as Mike Flanagan will be bringing the show back with a new cast and story for The Haunting of Bly Manor.

The season will be an adaptation of Henry James’s gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw but it will share something with season one. Hidden ghosts. When asked on social media if the practice of hiding ghosts in plain sight around the house would continue, Flanagan responded in the affirmative. Here’s the exchange:

“I know that [The Haunting of Bly Manor] won’t be directly connected to [The Haunting of Hill House] and that makes total sense, but I would really love it if [Mike Flanagan] snuck in some hidden ghost cameos from Season 1. It would be the best treat for the fans.”

Flanagan responded: “We are already discussing how to up our hidden ghost game.”
