The Pick of the Flicks Podcast #14 – Film critic Sarah Cook discusses Filth

November 7, 2018 by Tom Beasley

On The Pick of the Flicks Podcast, a different guest drops in every week to chat about their favourite movie. This week, film critic Sarah Cook pops by to chat about the debauched Irvine Welsh adaptation Filth…

This week, film critic Sarah Cook brings along the sex, smoke and swearing of Jon S Baird’s Filth, adapted from the Irvine Welsh novel of the same name. James McAvoy stars as a very, very Scottish and very, very bad cop. We discuss the film’s complex portrayal of mental illness, McAvoy’s ferociously committed performance and also host the first ever meeting of the Eddie Marsan fan club.
