The Undead Sea update arrives for World War Z

June 4, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have released the first major free content update for their action-packed co-op shooter World War Z.  The Undead Sea update will take players on a brand new mission with the threat of a deadly new zombie type.  Check out more in the trailer below….

In the new mission, players will travel to Tokyo aboard a zombie infested ferry and battle waves upon waves of the undead through open decks and tight cabins.  This new mission will provide one of the most intense challenges yet in the game as players will need to fight through confined spaces with little space to move.

Also facing players is a brand new zombie type that has gained the ability to spit out deadly toxins at survivors, not only that, it will come back to life if it is not put down properly.

Other features of The Undead Sea update is the ability to switch classes during PvPvZ matches, bonus cosmetics, the inclusion of private lobbies, field of view and level of detail sliders on the PC version.

Later updates in the World War Z roadmap will feature new six-skull difficulty setting, Weekly Challenge mode and a wave-based survival mode.

The Undead Sea update is available now.
